The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) and Sharjah Youth Council (SHJYC) have hosted their first ever workshop series together. The objective of this workshop series was to create strong, innovative and inclusive startup communities that can encourage future entrepreneurs to join the startup wave.
The series took place from June 22nd to July 6th, providing aspiring entrepreneurs with opportunities to share knowledge, enhance skills and cooperate with each other. The organizers believe that all these will lead to developing the building blocks of a vibrant entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The series had 9 parts in total, including 7 workshops and 2 talks. These sessions stressed the importance of generating tech-enabled solutions for current real life problems. The attendees learnt and understood the methods to validate their ideas through effective tools like value proposition, business model canvas, competitor analysis and customer interviews. Najla Al Midfa, CEO of Sheraa said, “ We pride ourselves on being present during these moments of community building, where new paths for entrepreneurs are paved, and genuine relationships with like minded parties are developed. One of the key themes of the Sharjah Youth Council, has been entrepreneurship, and thus, this came as a natural partnership to help inspire and encourage the youth in their contribution towards the UAE’s future success.”
