Riyadh: H.E. Dr. Majed Al Kassabi, Minister of Commerce and Investment has inaugurated the BIBAN Forum 2017 in Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center (RICEC), that was held between 17 and 20 of September 2017. BIBAN is the first forum of its kind targeting small and medium enterprises SMEs in the Kingdom.
Saudi Aramco Entrepreneurship Center Co. LTD “Wa’ed” has participated in the event as one of the main diamond sponsors, within its effort to highlight the Center's strategies and programs that nurture entrepreneurial ideas into viable projects and businesses.
In recognition of Wa’ed’s contribution to the development and investments in small and medium enterprises in Saudi Arabia, Wa'ed was awarded The Best Supporting Program for Small and Medium Enterprises at BIBAN Forum. Mr. Khalil AlShafei, Waed's Managing Director said, we are very honored to receive the reward from the Small and Medium Enterprises Authority.
“Since its inception, Wa’ed has invested US $74 million in funding to about 96 small and medium enterprises, including a number of projects in the medical sector, technology marketing, and innovative solutions such as online payment”, Mr. AlShafei revealed during a panel discussion: "Examining the SME Funding Ecosystem in KSA."
Saudi Aramco Entrepreneurship Center Co.LTD “Wa’ed”, was established in 2011 to spark entrepreneurial spirit in Saudi Arabia.
