VentureSouq Invests in Insurance Platform Vouch
Dubai, United Arab Emirates - December 12, 2019. Dubai-based VentureSouq (VSQ) has invested in US-based Vouch, an insurance platform exclusively targeting startups. Vouch announced its Series B of USD $45 million led by Y Combinator’s Continuity Fund.
Previous top-tier investors include Ribbit Capital, SVB Financial Group, Y Combinator, Index Ventures and 500 Startups. Vouch was co-founded by startup veteran Sam Hodges, who previously co-founded business lending platform Funding Circle, and Travis Hedge, a former Senior Associate at SVB Capital.
Hodges says that Vouch's purpose is to help startup founders and executives understand and manage the inherent risks with starting — and scaling — a company.
The platform offers fast, tailored, digitally-delivered insurance designed to support and scale with startups in high-pressure, rapid-growth environments.
VSQ Partner Suneel Gokhale shared that “a growing trend is the emergence of startups that service other startups. We think that given the continued growth and maturity of the startup ecosystem, this is a segment that should do well in the long-term.”
