TechCrunch's premiere startup competition comes to the MENA region
On October 3, in Beirut, Lebanon, TechCrunch is hosting its first Startup Battlefield competition presented by FB Start from Facebook for founders based in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). 15 startups have been selected to pitch in front of a panel of seasoned investors for the chance to win $25,000 USD and a trip to TechCrunch’s flagship conference Disrupt to participate in the Startup Battlefield competition.
In addition to the startup competition, TechCrunch will conduct interviews and host panels featuring these esteemed founders and investors from the MENA region:
- Magnus Olsson of Careem
- Imad Kreidieh of Ogero
- Mai Medhat of Eventtus
- Konstantinos Papamiltiadis of Facebook
- Henri Asseily of Leap Ventures
Furthermore, Toyota will host a workshop where Mandali Khalesi, Toyota’s Global Head of Automated Driving Mobility and Innovation, will share Toyota’s latest automated driving research findings and their plans for the future.
There will also be several additional great startups exhibiting at the event alongside the Startup Battlefield contestants.
