DUBAI: The first edition of the Arab Innovation Forum, organised by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Foundation (MBRF) to mark UAE Innovation Month, provides around 200 startups the chance to not only showcase their innovations, but to network with innovators, investors and decision-makers.
The Gulf Today met a number of the founders of startups who came from different Arab countries, who all agree that such participation means a lot to them, as it helps them widen their network with investors.
The Forum brings together experts, entrepreneurs and innovators from all around the world to discuss issues related to sustainable development and promoting innovation, as well as to showcase their inspirational experiences and innovations in panel discussions and workshops.
Haitham Zuraiqi, a startup founder who has come all the way from Jordan, has created a new kind of dental floss that expands and becomes thinner during use, which helps a person clean teeth better in a more practical and effective manner.
“It is eco-friendly and recyclable, it is softer on the gums than the existing dental floss products in the market,” Zuraiqi mentions.
