Slush Global Impact Accelerator (Slush GIA 2018), second edition, was hosted by Rawabi Tech Hub and was organized by Growth for Training and Development & Rawabi Connect. The event is supported by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Finland, Slush and Rawabi COnnect.
Slush GIA is considered to be an effective platform and a big opportunity for Palestinian startups to reach a global level and connect with potential investors, clients, and empowerments elements. As well as interacting with advanced ecosystems and tech-clusters. Also, Slush GIA 2018 is a unique opportunity to strengthen the young Palestinian ability and their entrepreneurial goals.
This year 9 Palestinian Startups competed from entrepreneurs and owners of startups with different entrepreneurial ideas that were performed in front of the judges, which included Ambar Amleh from Ibtikar Fund, Salem Awadallah from ASAL Technologies, Nancy Murad from Siraj Fund and Nael Ramadan from Social Dice.
The first 3 winning startups will join the renowned startup conference which will be held in Helsinki during 4-5, December and enjoy Helsinki Bootcamp program from December 2-8, 2018.
First Place - Gamiphy, it is a user engagement platform that implements gamification techniques to help businesses acquire and retain more customers.
Second Place - Inggez, A sports application that helps people to access great workout locations whenever wherever that want with no membership.
On-demand fitness. No membership.
Third Place - Receet, is a SaaS platform for providing digital receipts in any business transaction where a receipt is required.
