Sheraa and Liv. host workshops to educate UAE youth and kickstart their entrepreneurial journey
The substantial interest in entrepreneurship in recent months has been acknowledged by the UAE government and various private organizations. Foreseeing its advantages for the region’s economy, several initiatives have been undertaken to provide guidance and support for aspiring entrepreneurs who look to turn their ideas into businesses.
Liv., the digital lifestyle bank by Emirates NBD and the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) collaborated to provide a workshop series for young entrepreneurs who require education and support for their startups. The three-week workshop series encouraged the participants to identify tech-enabled solutions for existing real-world problems, and develop their skills to make effective business decisions. It included entrepreneurship workshops, a financial literacy workshop, a marketing disruption workshop and a talk by an experienced startup founder.

The workshops concluded with Sheraa and Liv. distributing digital certificates of completion to all participants who also were invited to Sheraa’s ‘From Idea to Startup’ series, a monthly event in which entrepreneurial journeys from illustrious speakers are shared, serving as an empowerment and motivational exercise for creative minds looking for ideas and inspiration.
