SeedStars Ramallah 2018 is one of the main events of the Global Entrepreneurship Week Palestine. The event was organized by Growth for Training and Development.
7 best startups competed to be crowned the most promising seed-stage startup of Seedstars Ramallah 2018. The first winning startup was Inggez , who will have the opportunity to join the global Seedstars Family and take part in the regional and global Seedstars Summits that include tried and tested bootcamp and investor forum. Startups were supposed to be 9, but 2 couldn't leave Gaza.
The 7 Palestinian Startups competed from entrepreneurs and owners of startups with different entrepreneurial ideas that were performed in front of the judges, which included Mr. Jamal Hourani from Arab Bank, Mr. Jamal Haddad from PIF, Mr. Ibrahim Manaa' from Careem, Ms. Erin Keeley from Hitachi and Mr. Nael Ramadan from Social Dice.
First Place - Inggez, A sports application that helps people to access great workout locations whenever wherever that want with no membership.
On-demand fitness. No membership.
Second Place - JWAR, JWAR focuses on developing products that compliment innovative virtual services.
Third Place - Gamiphy, it is a user engagement platform that implements gamification techniques to help businesses acquire and retain more customers.
