RAK to arrange the biggest international SME exhibition, featuring over 200 enterprises from 20 countries
RAK, the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, is going to host its biggest international exhibition for SMEs. Over 200 hundred small and medium sized enterprises from 20 different countries are expected to attend the exhibition.
According to Mohamed Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, the Chairman of the RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the exhibition will take place from November 14th to 16th. The objective of the exhibition is to reinforce the growth of entrepreneurship and small businesses in the emirate. Along with the entrepreneurs, the RAK Chamber of Commerce has also invited SME funds from different parts of the United Arab Emirates to take part in this event.
Mohamed Musabbeh is very hopeful that the exhibition will be quite effective in helping the entrepreneurs to form bonds and strategic partnerships with investors and industry specialists. “It will offer a unique opportunity for participants to share and discuss the best business practices, showcase the investment opportunities available in UAE, build new business partnerships, and reinforce communication among private companies worldwide," he said.
According to Khaleej Times, the exhibition will focus on the government’s efforts to support the SMEs and entrepreneurs from the emirate, and encourage them even further to take the country towards a non-oil based economy.
The Director of the Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Centre, Mohammed Hassan Al Shabab, said, "The Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Project Development was launched to lead the entrepreneurs, support the youth in establishing their project, encourage innovation and boost the entrepreneurship culture among youth, being the main backbone for the economic development."
