Jordan's Progressive Generation raises Pre-Series A funding round
Progressive Generation, a production house that produces and owns a group of intellectual properties, has raised an undisclosed Pre-Series A funding round, from Oman Tech Fund, 500 Startups, and ISSFJO.
Progressive Generation Studios aims to invest in creative content and intellectual properties. They seek to develop the most creative, innovative, and profitable animated digital content Edutainment experiences in the MENA region and related products in the world. Progressive Generation's vision is to address the needs of Arab children and to ensure the delivery of constructive and culturally relevant messages which would have a significant positive effect on their upbringing, thus helping to change the region towards a better and brighter future.
Founded in 2011, their mission is to be one of the world's leading producers and providers of entertainment and information, especially in the Arabic language. 
The newly raised funds will be used to develop and launch a PG Kids platform. Ahmad Al Masri, CEO of Progressive Generation commented on the new platform, "After more than 15 years of experience in building children's content and producing more than 100K minutes of original children content, we have decided with our investors and partners to produce one of the biggest and safest children's VOD platforms in the world.

"The content will be built on excellent and validated Arabic and English language, and will be edutainment; categorized for boys and girls, full of fun, colors, upbringing messages, original songs, and music - stimulating the creative thinking process. We have based this on deep researches in children's psychologies and the variation of each age group; AI has been used to help keep parents updated with what their children are watching."
Giving his thoughts on the fundraising process, Ahmad added, "When it comes to fundraising, build assets, be strong enough, manage risks, be honest, go big, start small, search for a strategic partner, not a money holder, pitch your idea in front of yourself, and repeat."
