MINT Incubator’s Spring‘20 applications are now open for its intensive 3-month program
MINT Incubator by EGBANK comes to you in partnership with The Cairo Angels, Egypt's first formal angel investment network, investing in and supporting early-stage startups in Egypt and across the MENA region. Since its launch, MINT Incubator has worked with over 150 startups across three different cycles and graduated 42 startups. Five of these startups have already closed 6-figure seed investment in our first year from organizations such as 500 Startups and individual angel investors. The program has acted as a development program for our portfolio to launch their products and raise investments to scale. We target teams with a working prototype and graduate startups.
We do this through the partnership between EG Bank and The Cairo Angels, which allows us to leverage corporate know-how and integrate that with startup operations. It has helped teach teams how to approach business partners as well as how to achieve impressive growth levels through The Cairo Angels’ portfolio of startups and network of Angel Investors.
MINT Incubator provides a series of different workshops that will address key areas to help accelerate the startups’ growth, in addition to one-on-ones after workshops that allow entrepreneurs to adapt what they learned directly into the startup. These workshops will enhance the teams’ know-how and are centered around the following pillars; financials, product development, marketing and sales, and management. Our most recent Fall’19 cohort are all in talks with investors which they have been accustomed to throughout the program. Our mentors are angel investors and thus can successfully coach startups on how to handle an investment deal at this stage.
Other benefits of the program include access to free tools and applications, a co-working space in Downtown Cairo, and networking sessions with key ecosystem stakeholders. MINT Incubator also facilitates the legal registration for its startups, it also helps teams better understand their market and startup. We do this through partnerships with media agencies, research firms, financial consultants and payment gateways. The cycle will conclude with a demo day where entrepreneurs will get the chance to meet with investors and begin raising funds as an investment-ready startup.
