MAGNiTT and INSEAD to explore COVID-19's impact on MENA startups and investors, look to provide policy recommendations [Survey]
MAGNiTT, the most comprehensive startup data platform in MENA, and INSEAD, the leading Business School for the World, today announced their collaboration to launch two VC & Startup COVID-19 Sentiment Surveys – one focused on startups and one focused on investors.
- Startup Survey: Share your opinion
- Investor Survey: Share your opinion
Over the past few months, the effects that the current pandemic has had on startups has become increasingly clear. While funding has remained strong in the region with more than $550M recorded in 2020 YTD, the number of deals has seen a significant drop, as Early Stage deals have been hit particularly hard.
These developments do not come without consequences. In order to best address these consequences, the surveys look to explore the impact of the current pandemic on the startup and venture capital ecosystem in the Middle East and North Africa, with the aim to provide objective, data-driven, and actionable recommendations for key stakeholders' policy decisions.
By looking at the experiences and viewpoints of both startups and investors, MAGNiTT and INSEAD are looking to obtain a holistic overview of the entire ecosystem, with a focus on where startups and venture capital firms need help most.
The surveys are completely anonymous, unless respondents would like to avail of the offers below. In that case, they are asked to enter their contact details before submitting their answers.
For any submission to the surveys, respondents will be able to avail the following perks:
- 1 month free to MAGNiTT's Starter package (value US$399)
- An opportunity to get a free seat for INSEAD's Strategy in the Age of Digital Disruption online course (value €1,500)
