Intrro raises pre-seed funding led by 500 Startups, alongside Spartech Ventures to scale employee referrals

Intrro announced today that it has successfully secured a pre-seed round led by 500 Startups. The In5 incubated company, which has regional offices in Dubai, London and Tbilisi, has raised $500,000 from investors including 500 Startups, Spartech Ventures and strategic angel investors, such as Saif Kidwai, the co-founder of the leading technology recruitment consultancy, Digital Gurus.

The employee referral platform uses machine learning to automatically match candidates from employee networks to open roles, so the company can get warm introductions to the best talent.

Intrro was founded in May 2019 by Nasser Oudjidane and Neel Shah. “Hiring the best people is the biggest challenge for fast-growing companies. Intrro allows founders and hiring leaders to supercharge the “employees are your best recruiters” proverb. Instead of getting another unsolicited recruiting message from a stranger, relevant candidates receive a personalised message from their contact, in the meantime your employees can track the entire process, rewarding those who are more actively engaged,” said Co-Founder & CEO Nasser.

“We’re proud to be on this journey with Neel and Nasser and look forward to seeing Intrro help fast-growing companies scale their biggest assets,” said Sharif El-Badawi, partner at 500 Startups.

The company is working with some of the world’s fast-growing companies and has recently been featured in Forbes Magazine as one of "Seven HR Tech Startups Transforming A Very Human Industry.”

The funding will be allocated towards fuelling the company’s go-to-market strategy and growing its data science team.

“Intrro enables recruiters to browse their employee contacts against open positions, and proactively ask for an intro. This allows recruiters to spend more time speaking to receptive candidates and less time chasing leads, whilst giving hiring managers access to a broader, verified and more diverse pool of talent,” Said Neel Shah Co-Founder & COO.

“Intrro is building the next generation hiring platform for fast-growing organizations. The vision, focus and ambition of the team has fuelled their swift growth, and we’re excited to join the journey,” said Amer Fatayer, Managing Director of Spartech Ventures.
