HiGuests closes $1.1 million investment and announces an expansion to Spain
HiGuests, a Dubai-based property management startup, has successfully closed a $1.1 million investment according to an announcement by the company last week. The investment came from a leading real estate player in Spain called Forcadell.
HiGuests is a platform for homeowners who want to rent out their properties for short periods. The startup is unique in their service as they take care of all the hassle that homeowners typically have to go through when listing their properties on rental platforms like Airbnb, Booking.com, HomeAway, etc.
HiGuests takes care of creating and managing profiles for property owners on these platforms and even does post-check in assistance for the guests. The platform has its own booking site where guests can book rooms managed by HiGuests. The service is ideal for homeowners who are going away for a short period, but don't want to deal with the troubles of having to find reliable guests to house sit or rent out the property. Through HiGuests, they can now forget about their worries and enjoy their time away.
For a 20% cut of rental income through a property, HiGuests takes care of marketing the property on all the major booking platforms, communicates with guests, vets them, provides cleaning services and even adds home essentials.
Founded in 2016 by two Spanish entrepreneurs, Miquel Manzanas & Oriol Plana, HiGuests currently manages over 300 properties in Dubai, Goa, and Mumbai. With the latest funding, HiGuests has also expanded to Barcelona, where they are offering short to midterm rentals. The short-term rentals include anything less than a month and mid-term anything between a month to one year.
The platform also offers its services through mobile applications for both guests and hosts. Furthermore, property owners also have access to a property management system, which allows owners to see daily updated reports about the performance of their properties.
