Mega GITEX Future Stars edition puts startups on the road to bold growth
GITEX Future Stars – the startup arm of the region’s biggest celebration of tech innovation, GITEX - returns this October (17-20 Oct, Dubai World Trade Centre) to help tech startups reclaim the business momentum lost during a challenging last year.
The event is the largest of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa, giving global startups access to the region’s burgeoning tech investments and buyer market, while also giving regional startups a chance to get international exposure and raise funds from worldwide VCs attending the event solely to discover the next big thing across four days.
In 2021, GITEX Future Stars continues to find the perfect recipe for startup success, with a few new ingredients thrown in.
The new edition shines a light on the creative economy sector startups revolutionising the disparate fields of fashion, sports, music and arts with their game-changing technologies. Featuring a dedicated showcase arena and conferences, top global industry names have already come onboard as partners to amplify the Creative Economy programme - The Fashion Innovation Agency at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, ABRIESP and SStudio of Brazil, with many more to come.
Also launching in 2021 is the GITEX YouthX Unipreneur, a first ever entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership initiative for youth tech startups. Open to both, universities and student startups, the YouthX Unipreneur will set aside two days of conferences, a Youth Pitch Battle and a dedicated show space for the groundbreaking tech ideas forged by the world’s most talented youth. The ultimate springboard for tech students to launch their bold visions, realise their full potential and become the chief architects of a new future.
One of the most popular and most awaited startup pitch battles, GITEX Future Stars’ Supernova Challenge returns this year in its full glory, offering total cash rewards of $200,000 across multiple categories. A prolific investor-startup networking programme ensures all entrepreneurs have the chance to meet and impress some of the world’s most active tech investors, VCs, accelerators and incubators. Last year, 86% of startups at the show met and moved discussions forward with investors – a testament to how just four days here can be life-changing for young entrepreneurs. Not to mention, there will be a running series of mentorship, innovation challenges and business matchmaking with corporates and government entities to add fuel to the startup’s growth spurt.
Startups from 75 countries, including Japan, Italy, Sweden, Bahrain, South Korea and more will shine at GITEX Future Stars. If you’re looking to move your startup to the next level, then there’s only one place you need to go this October.
