GEEM FZ LLE, a Dubai based esports startup, announces a collaboration partnership with Freedom Pizza. The collaboration is seen as the first local, non endemic partnership agreement in the region. The partnership will see Freedom & GEEM work on various collaborations, enabling Freedom to connect & engage with one of the fastest growing entertainment sectors.
After a successful beta launch in November 2017, GEEM, the digital esports platform launches on 26th September. Alongside their strong FIFA offering; League of Legends and Fortnite will be added to the platform, allowing both console & PC gamers to take their gameplay to the next level. GEEM users can compete in daily tournaments for cash prizes, in the aim of climbing leaderboards and showcasing their skills. GEEM is set to lay the grassroots infrastructure for competitive gaming.
Esports is one of the fastest-growing entertainment sectors, with a global audience expected to reach almost 500 million by 2020. This forms part of a global c.2.2 billion community who play video games and a fundamental shift in the way younger people spend their leisure time.
