The Saudi-based micro-influencer content marketing platform Flicron has successfully raised $1.07M in a recent crowdfunding campaign. The equity crowdfunding round was led through Manfaa Capital.
Launched in 2018, Flicron has been seamlessly connecting brands with micro-influencers that can create content for and around their products and services. At no cost, brands upload a brief and receive curated content featuring their products, to find and book the perfect match. On the other end, Micro-influencers who have built fans around a particular passion, get paid for crafting posts where they recommend products they have already used and loved
Since its launch, the Saudi-based content platform has experienced phenomenal growth, connecting 9,000+ micro-influencers with 400+ small, medium, and large businesses. Elevating brand conversations and creating opportunities for unique organic content, Flicron is filling a market gap and will further expand to providing analysis of influencer profiles to increase compatibility. Hashem Zahran, Flicron’s COO, elaborated “The company is constantly striving to meet the ambitions of entrepreneurs, brand owners and marketing managers in various companies, and to innovate technical solutions that contribute to the ease of delivering the message of their brands to the largest segment of their target audience in a professional manner.” Zahran stated that Flicron's expansion in the MENA market is critical for the team in the future.
Abdullah Al-Zuhairi, Flicron’s CEO, explained that Flicron seeks to employ the new funding to expand a greater coverage of the Saudi market in the field of marketing through influencers for the current year 2021, as well as the development of the operations and advantages of its technological platform. It will also attract more distinguished talents to achieve Flicron's strategic objectives, placing it at the forefront of specialized companies in this field, and enhancing its services.
