ENOC launches 'NEXT' accelerator programme to deliver its vision for the future by building digital ventures
ENOC, Emirates National Oil Company, has announced the launch of its accelerator programme “NEXT”. “NEXT” will aim towards solving challenges and encouraging growth through digital means in the energy sector.
According to a press release by ENOC, the oil and gas company has joined hands with partners such as EY and BCG Digital Ventures to provide services for the consumer and business-to-business categories.
ENOC intends to enable an organizational transformation through the implementation of the SAP-system and the digital upskilling of its workforce. “In addition to creating new revenue streams through digital ventures, NEXT will also look at synergies between different segments across the Group and leverage our existing data and knowledge to unlock growth opportunities across different markets,” CEO ENOC Group Saif Humaid Al Falasi said talking about the announcement.
Al Falasi further explained how this new venture will pave the way for Dubai in becoming the global hub for sustainable, knowledgeable and innovative businesses. He quoted several examples, such as AREA 2071’s hosting of 20 global start-ups and Dubai’s plans to invest AED1 billion in projects and companies that take part in its future accelerators programme, showing that the UAE is actively encouraging research and development and incubation programmes across key sectors to further innovation.
“At ENOC, we believe in the importance of disruption and entrepreneurialism to be able to answer new and unseen challenges and NEXT is designed to do just that. In addition to creating new revenue streams through digital ventures, NEXT will also look at synergies between different segments across the Group and leverage our existing data and knowledge to unlock growth opportunities across different markets,” Al Falasi stated.
According to ENOC, NEXT will be used to better the company's innovation and digitize the abilities in order to meet the company’s goals of unlocking growth opportunities across different markets.
ENOC consists of 30-odd subsidiaries. Established in 1993, it operates both nationally and internationally in up and downstream energy sector.
