Dubai World Trade Centre to hold Gitex 2019 and highlight next-gen technologies
Scheduled to be held between October 6th to October 10th 2019 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the 39th annual Gitex Technology Week and Gitex Future Stars will showcase next-generation technologies with industry heavyweights and innovators including Siemens, Schneider Electric, China Mobile, Honeywell, Ericsson, and Nokia.
The event will focus on the theme of ‘Synergising the Mind and Technology Economy’. The 1.4 million square Dubai World Trade Centre is the perfect venue to host in excess of 100,000 attendees, including business leaders from across 140 countries.
Gitex aims to showcase revolutionary and innovative technologies that are helping to transform the world. Gitex Technology Week will have exhibitions from more than 4,800 innovators and while the 4th edition of Gitex Future Stars will welcome more than 750 global startups along with 1,500 investors.
Technologies that use 5G, AI and blockchain are expected to take center stage at the event. Gitex Artificial Intelligence Zone will hold 5 days of free learning sessions in the field of AI and talk about how AI is influencing the fields of agriculture, procurement, government, construction, factory automation, and marketing.
Gitex's conference tracks will feature 290+ hours of content, out of which 90 hours are open to all and free to attend. The topics covered range from Future Mobility to NXG (Next Generation) technologies. The event will not only focus on the upcoming technologies, but it will also highlight problems that these technologies can cause, especially in the fields of Digital Marketing, Fintech, Retail, Energy, Healthcare and Education.
There is a separate conference dedicated to 5G and the impact that this technology will have on the world. The conference will discuss the revolutionary abilities of the technology, the use of 5G to make smart cities and self-driving cars, and the security concerns associated with this technology.
The Senior Vice President of Events and Exhibitions at Dubai World Trade Centre expressed his enthusiasm regarding the event commenting “Gitex Technology Week is an international confluence of the greatest minds in technology, global business leaders in the industry and rising stars from the tech ecosystem.” According to him, this year’s event will focus on how Generation Z, also known as Gen Z, can change our future for the better by use of these technologies.
