Dubai South is Going to Emphasize More on Logistics Connectivity and Innovation
Dubai South has commitments towards turning Dubai into a leadership center of global trade and e-commerce. Already steps are being taken to respect the commitments in proper ways. Dubai South has decided to bring Dubai’s innovation and logistics connectivity to the spotlight among global networks of transport, mobility, logistics, IT and supply chain management, by participating at the Transport Logistic Exhibitions that’ll take place in Munich this June. The event will last from 4th to 7th of June 2019.
Due to impressive pioneering efforts in digital transformation and innovation, Dubai is currently ranked one in terms of foreign direct investment (FDI) compatibility. Valued at Dhs 38.5, FDI has increased by 4% in Dubai in 2018. In the course of just three years from 2015 to 2018, the emirate has enjoyed $21.6 billion worth of FDI. Leading economies like US, UK and South Korea are quickly being surpassed in the Smart Service Index as well.
Dubai South has improved logistical connectivity and flexibility by the multi model Logistics District that provides effective access to airports, major roads and seaports. Business operations like distribution centers and warehouses enjoy facilities like built-to-suit and ready-to-occupy options for their operations. In addition, Dubai South also offers office solutions via its facilities at The Business Park. It consists of two modern buildings at the entrance of Dubai South. The buildings are equipped with all sorts of modern equipment and amenities.
The Logistics District aims to help businesses to operate with ease in Dubai, by helping them to take minimum processing time, supporting via onsite licensing and ensuring visa and residencies arrangements with a dedicated branch. This branch operates under the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs. An e-portal is also open for all kinds of online services. Logistics District also features EZDubai, the massive e-commerce zone that extends to a mammoth 920,000 square-meter area.
