DailyMealz, a Saudi subscription-based (mainly healthy) food delivery startup has expanded to Kuwait.
DailyMealz is a food subscription app to help employees eat healthier and save time. The user can choose his entire month of meals in a few minutes.
Kuwait is the first overseas market for the startup that has been delivering meals to corporate employees across Riyadh since 2017. In the last six months, Dailymealz has also expanded to Jeddah and Dammam (in Saudi).
After the success in Riyadh and the expansion to Jeddah, Khobar and Dammam, we’re very excited to launch DailyMealz in Kuwait which is one of the biggest food delivery markets in the region, thanks to its 100 percent internet penetration rate and tech-savvy population.
After serving tens of thousands of customers in Saudi and learning from our experience there, we think we can replicate the same success in Kuwait as healthy eating is becoming increasingly important there.
The service that’s available through Dailymealz’ mobile app (for Android and iOS) allows users to subscribe to week, two-week or month-long subscription plans for getting healthy food delivered at their offices (the week covers five working days only).
The customers after selecting the plan are asked for a delivery address and the start date for their subscription. They then have to select meals for each day that’s covered by subscription and their preferred delivery time (between 12 pm to 5 pm).
Once they’ve filled all these details, the can complete the order within the app and they’re delivered the food every day (that’s covered by the plan) without having to do anything.
The subscription plans for Kuwait are priced at KWD 19 for a week, KWD 38 for two weeks and KWD 70 for a month.
The 500 Startups backed startups in Kuwait is using the services of a local logistics company and freelance drivers for delivering the food to its early customers in almost all the areas of Kuwait City.
